Sketchup (FREE and simple drafting tool) - Submit renovations to school board for school renovations. Helps to reinforce simple math lessons, community projects, being engaged in their environment.
Wolfram Alpha - Use to help navigate and understand graphing calculators. Students without access to graphing calculators can get a similar experience.

RSS Feeds and Readers - Bring great resources to your computer from websites you read through your RSS reader. http://google.com/reader & http://bloglines.com are examples of RSS readers.

The changing learning landscape- How do we teach and learn with students when there is so much information and so many distractions available on the web? Should we be more accepting of multi-tasking when working in the classroom environment?
Digital Storytelling - Variety of tools available to create a story with words, music, pictures. Online apps are much more accessible to students to create ownership for their projects.
Voicethread - Create a digital story that allows others to comment right within your story.
Animoto - Upload pictures, add music and text - Animoto will do the rest to create your story.
Copyright Confusion - Understanding the copyright law and what it means for us in education.
A tip to not become overwhelmed: Pick one thing that you can apply personally, professionally, in your classroom and focus on that. Find a way to use the tool personally - if you find ways to use personally you will find ways to use with your students.
